SCHAKO Group continues to grow: Additional competences and better access to the Dutch market through Smitsair
Kolbingen, 02 March 2021 – SCHAKO Group with expanded technological competence and additional regional market penetration.
SCHAKO has acquired the two Dutch companies Smitsair B.V. and Smitsair JETsystemen B.V. with retroactive effect from the beginning of 2021. “The acquisitions of the two Dutch Smitsair ventures are fully in line with the SCHAKO Group’s strategy of regional expansion and competence enhancement,” emphasises Beat Vögeli, CEO of the SCHAKO Group.
The two Smitsair companies are very well known and successful in the Netherlands and neighbouring markets. “We see many opportunities for both Smitsair and the other six companies in the SCHAKO Group to benefit from each other and become stronger together. True to our motto: Pure competence in air”, emphasises CEO Beat Vögeli underlines the growth of the SCHAKO Group.
Smitsair with its approximately 40 employees in the two companies Smitsair B.V. and Smitsair JETsystemen B.V. was founded in 1917 and was continuously owned by the founding family until the end of 2020. Both Smitsair companies are leading market players in their product areas and specialise in the development and manufacture of passive, visible ventilation components, ventilation ducts and special sheet metal for a wide range of ventilation and distribution systems. Smitsair’s share of customised individual solutions is disproportionately high in the industry.
